Today I woke up at 4am to take my pt apft. Its a standardized test that scores endurance and strength for the army. I failed my last on and have been so nervous about taking this one. I have been busting my ass and it all payed off. I finished my run with a whole min and 15 secs left which i have never been able to do before. I am so pleased with my performance and this fuels my fire to do even better next time. Thanks to all for all the support.

So I have made some progress over the past few months but I have been doing it all the wrong way. I have been focusing on nothing but running and I have lost so much muscle its not even funny. My diet is completley horrible. All I eat all day is a bowl of oatmeal in the morning and a bowl of soup in the evening with maybe a snack in between. My running has improved greatly but I feel so out of it. I cant wait to pass this pt test so I can focus on weight training and a good diet.

So it’s that time of the year that I have to take a pt test. I failed my last one and have been flagged for the last 5 months. I not only failed my run but also failed my body fat %. I am supposed to run 2 miles in 16 mins 36 secs and I ran it in a little over 19mins. I failed my body fat % by like 3%. I have been working to improve bith my run and my bf% and I have to take the test next week. Since the last time I took the pt test I have lost about 10lbs and lost about 1 1/2 inches off my waist. I think Ill be good for the bf% but I am stressed for the 2 mile run. I hope I pass this test and hope all the work I have put into getting better pays off. If anybody has any advice on how to improve running time please let me know. Thanks and keep up the great work bodyspacers!

Tomorrow I will be doing my first 5K race and although I dont plan on being a top runner I am so excited that all the hard work I have been doing with my cardio has enabled me to be able to run this event with out passing out in the first mile. I feel that my running game has improved greatly ever since I started doing cardio on a track or just running around instead of the eliptical or treadmill. There is NOTHING like running on the track or street. Lets see how I do tomorrow morning. As for today i will just go for a long walk and let the legs rest and stretch all day at work tonight. Ill post my results after the race so wish me luck.

Okay, so after a month or so of not going to the gym, eating very unhealthy, and drinking larg amounts of alcohol I finally made it to DC and started up again. I really hate this on and off lifestyle I have been living with my fitness and diet. I moved from Hawaii to DC doing the military thing and I am finally settled in. I signed to a new gym, stopped by the gnc on post, and made my order on bb.com store. Stopped by the commissary (grocery store) , bought a bunch of chicken, lean meat, and veggies. I think I am all loaded up and motivated. I cant wait to see my body and mind change. I am following the 12 week video trainer and today was cardio. After I finished I felt so much less stressed and its only day 2. I will be posting new pics and updating stats by the end of the week or weekend to get a new starting point. I am back and I wish all the best of luck with all the goals. Keep up the good work.
wow, i think i just rambled in this blog but its all good.

it is so hard to keep up with a good eating plan in the military while you live in the barrarcks. there is no real access to a kitchen or storage for your food. i have been trying to keep up with a good diet but then it just all goes down the drain. what i have done lately is start on lean cuisine micro meals. its easy on the budget and a quick easy way to get some food especially in my position. i would like to get some input on others out there on what they think about lean cuisine meals or microwavable meals that are good for you.
