Please check out my new pictures and stats - MAKING PROGRESS :-)

Sunday, January 20th, 2008

Dear Readers,

I finally got around to taking some new shots for my bodyspace galleries, and the difference between the old and new has me more motivated then ever! I can not wait to see the feedback, either negative or positive. I hope to get myself into gear for my comp in late May and if these pictures are any indication, as well as the increase in my lifts, I am well on my way to improving and putting myself in with a chance of taking the title - or if not putting up a good fight for it. So please if you have the spare time could you check out my new pictures - any comments or feeback would be greatly appreciated. keep training hard everyone!

Kind Regards,

Robert Murphy.

Workout Partner Returns

Wednesday, January 16th, 2008

Readers,

After a months lay-off rest and working my old partner has returned to the gym - motivated and more goal orientated then before. His lifts went down, but not as much as i had expected he is also starting a run on protein, creatine and multis as i recommened them for recovery and faster growth because he was not using them before. This makes things easier for me as it allows me to lift more weight and push out those extra reps with a spotter, plus it makes the gym more fun and entertaining as well as competitive. Lifts went well today and i really feel great after my workout. Keep posted.

Regards,

Robert.

New machines not heavy enough!

Thursday, January 10th, 2008

Readers,

the Forum as I mentioned has re-opened and is much improved except for one thing - MOST MACHINES DO NOT HAVE ENOUGH WEIGHT ON THEM! I found this out when doing leg extensions, the max setting is 13 and I can push out around 18 possibly 20 reps if i wanted to! TALE ABOUT OVERKILL! Also the seated cable row is low, max level is 20 and I can do 10 solid reps and 2 cheastish type pulls. This leaves little room for improvement. thankfully they put in a t-bar row machine just as I left this afternoon, so the cable row is sorted. But the Leg extensions is a massive bummer, I know squats and leg press are GREAT! but sometimes you just want to sit down and put a pin in and go for it - but now that is not possible. ill get used to it, also a massive disappointment is there is no pulleys for tricep pushdowns!  I love this exercise and I hope they get some in soon or Ill most definitely make a suggestion and I am sure others will support it. Anyways, other then a few missing things and lighter weights on machines everything else is great, more plates, more power racks, seats and benches and better dumbbells so I cant complain to much ill just have to replace them with other exercises for the time being.

Keep posted - Kind Regards,

Robert

My old Gym re-opens after renovations!

Wednesday, January 9th, 2008

Readers,

I returned to my original gym today after a 2 month or so break as it was being redone and renovated. I was absolutely taken away by the results, the machines are awesome and have heavier settings the dumbbells are better and all the seats, benches and bars are all new and comfy and allow more and greater positions and settings. I am very excitd as I had little time to check everything out but from what i saw i was very impressed and look forward to doing future workouts there. As for my workouts and progress I was happy to be back using kilograms rather then pounds and my lifts are getting much better and I am seeing greater results in my body with size and defintion continuing to increase and get better. Anyways take care and ill be sure to post again soon.

Regards,

Robert

Still feeling under the weather - but still broke through the pain barrier.

Thursday, January 3rd, 2008

Dear Readers,

Can you believe it I still feel ill from my overindulgence from new years eve - I feel fine in every normal setting but when i lift heavy at the gym I still get light headed and feel off color. However, today was no where near as bad as Wednesday. I figure that when i fill up over the weekend on food and supplements my nutrition level will be at a more normal level for lifting heavy and energy levels will be higher which will stop these sick and dizzy spells i am getting during and after my last two workouts. I wasn’t going to wimp out but i completed all my lifts and lifted heavy as always despite the dizzy spells - today was not as bad as i said as Wednesday and I had to cut that workout short because it would have been wrong to keep going as I would surely have caused more damage then good. I am looking forward to Monday as my new routine begins and I should be 100% ready and recored as I will be stocking up on my foods and vitamins over the weekend to insure this doesn’t happen again - btw, I have decided that i am not drinking for a while and when i do nowhere near as much as I did that night as my bodybuilding is a higher priority. I will let yous all know what my new routine is when i am finished making it and will let yous know how it comes along.

Kind Regards,

Robert.

New Years - overindulgence….

Tuesday, January 1st, 2008

Dear Readers,

First and foremost happy new year! I hope everyones new year celerbrations went well and that 2008 provides you all with success and happiness. To my celebration…I will be blunt and say that i drank way to much on New Years eve and I would rather not drink that much again - it was quite the experience. Other then the ‘overindulgence’ the night went relitively well and was spent in good company but as you could probably guess and imagine the hangover was monumental and I am still not fully recovered after 20 hours rest and recovery, let that be a lesson to me. Anyways, I am back to training tomorrow morning and I can not wait to get stuck in on my first workout of 2008. Again I wish you all a great new year and keep posted as I will be adding more photos and maybe a video to my bodyspace in the coming month.

Regards,

Robert
