Had a great train today, started higher reps on bench press - 12, 10, 10, 8, 6. Was different being so used to the 5 x 5 program was a shock to my system I found i had less in the tank come the last two sets. Hopefully changing it up will result in me achieving some gains. After a few weeks i intend on returning to the 5 x 5 program. The arm workout was explosive three heavy sets of barbell curls, 2 sets of Arnold 21’s and 3 sets of hammer bar curls. Was extremely pumped after the workout. I finished with a return to the leg press and did 5 sets, 3 low down on approx 290kg and 2 heavy medium down on 470kg. My legs felt amazing afterwards! Really hoping to up the effort on the bench and take it to new levels, and hopefully going with more reps for a time will help me achieve that. All in all despite poor nutrition in recent days through sickness and so on I was impressed with how today went.
