Weight Loss

Tuesday, July 7th, 2009

Ireland was good for me.  I am excited about the weight loss; I lost a total of 10 lbs in 12 days.  We did a great deal of walking, climbing, and hiking as we tour different areas in Ireland. I watched what I was eating.  Of course, I had the fish and chips (fries) because it is a part of Ireland’s culture.  The atmosphere in Ireland was great; I felt really great.

4th of July - Members of the Armed Forces

Friday, July 3rd, 2009

Independence Day, commonly known as the Fourth of July, is an American federal holiday commemorating the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776.  It is a day commonly associated with fireworks, parades, barbecues, family outings, concerts, and America’s favorite baseball and apple pie.  On this national day, let us give thanks to the members of our Armed Forces.  We cannot thank them enough for the sacrifices they have made to secure the liberty and freedom that we enjoy each day.  May God continue to watch over them and their families!

Ireland Better

Friday, July 3rd, 2009

The past nine days have been awesome. Ireland is so cool. It is great for my condition. I feel so much better, and I am on point with eating. I think I have lost some weight which is great. I have met some awesome people. Football (to American: soccer) is one of the major sports played in the UK. I have had the opportunity to kick around the ball; I wouldn’t call it playing football (soccer). Let’s just say that I am soccer challenged. Although I have not had the opportunity to workout in a gym, I have had some physical demands. Physically, I’ve done some amazing things this past week. There were moments when I felt weak, but a little rest and I am/was up and running. I know that I do nothing of my own; it is God who sustains me, my strength and source of life. Continuing to build my faith and body, together.
