So far the cut is still going well. I have dropped down to 196 and am down to 12-13% bodyfat. I am pretty pleased with it, especially considering we are getting into the winter months, whch I find to be a more difficult time to lose weight. I am pretty focused as far as eating high protein and low carb, which really has been a key for me.
I have been busier than ever due to coaching high school basketball as well as my wife being pregnant and repping on the boards for Beast Sports Nutrition. Time is just at a premium and due to it, I haven’t gotten to a gym as much as I would like to. I am really looking for the Holiday Break so I can get in more time at the gym.
The baby comes on Jan 15th, and will be a real exciting time for me. He will be named John E. Kelly III, but will go by the name of Trey, as my wife and I aren’t big on the name John. I go by Scoop so might as well give him a name to go by.
Things are going well at Beast Sports as we are working on some things that I think people will like. It can get a bit heated on the boards but do feel that Beast is looking to change things around as far as the future, they just need some time and it will happen. I am psyched as I have gotten a lot of input and that means a lot to me as a customer rep.
Well, gotta run. Got a game tonight, hoping to push the record to 2-0. Then we play our most difficult game tommorrow, but no matter what will get two more shots at the same team we play on Wednesday (tommorrow). I am out of here.

I was selected to log Somnidren GH for Millennium today and am psyched about that. It looks like a great supplement as are many of their supplements. Should help with sleeping as well as hopefully help with some GH release at night. I think may also help with leaning me out, which is one of my goals as I am still looking to cut some more fat and weight.
Should be starting that soon, you (I may be the only one who reads these damn things) will have to follow it.
Will be an exciting weekend as my varsity team is playing in a lax tourney up at Mt. St. Mary’s. So hopefully we will be successful, but no matter what, it will be cold as we will be up in Western Maryland in the mountains of Emmitsburg. Go Bobcats, kick some ass!!
Gotta go, I am tired as parents and students are just taking it out of me. Have a great weekend, I am out of here!

I was looking to next 2 months and thinking where do I want to take my body and I really think I still would like to cut some more body fat and weight off me. Currently, I am at 198 pounds, which is down 25 pounds from September 1, 2007 but still not where I want to be.
I would really like to drop enough weight and fat to get down to 190 pounds while holding on to as much muscle as possible. I am hoping that my high protein diet combined with my supplementing of BCAA’s will help me to hold on to my muslcle. I figure with retained muscle, my body will burn more calories at rest, which is important. Plus, with focusing on weight loss over the next two months, it will tune me in over the Holiday season. That focus is important to me as I don’t want to gain weight over this time period.
I begin my coaching of high school basketball team in 10 days so I will have to get in some of my cardio then as it will become more difficult to get to the gym. Luckily, I have a full weight system (Smith Machine) in my basement as well as dumbells all the way up to 65 pounds.
Well, got to go and hope the Ravens step it up. They are already down 7-0 and I am pissed off!!!
See you around.

With the introduction of our new product, Amphetalean, I thought it would be important for you guys to get a write up that explains the our 2-Stage Delivery system that was used on Amphetalean.
The great thing with our 2 Stage delivery system (Liqui-Tab) in Amphetalean is that it allows for the delivery of the active ingredients over a longer period of time. It allows for a constant release as compared to coming on too hard and also making you crash quickly after your intake of Amphetalean.
This advanced delivery system features a pharmaceutically engineered (enteric coated) tablet suspended in Omega-3 oil within a capsule. This new 2 Stage delivery process will allow you to feel the effects of the product much faster, and have the effects last throughout the day. Here’s how it works.
The Omega-3 oil within the capsule is actually a suspension containing the 1st stage of ingredients that will release immediately through the stomach lining and into the blood stream. This will cause an immediate energy jolt.
The 2nd stage is a specially engineered enteric coated tablet that delivers deep within the small intestine and disperses slowly over several hours. It is important to note that the absorption rate within the small intestine is much higher than that of the stomach, which is where most companies supplements get absorbed in. This allows for continual delivery of the ingredients throughout the day with no crash. With this advanced 2 stage delivery, The Beast’s Liqui-Tab Technology is light years ahead of the competition.
AmphetaLean will be the first product to utilize this new technology. According to Beast Sports, VP Rudy Velez, "The beta testers on the product were amazed at the duration of the product. They were still feeling the energy buzz up to 10 hours after ingestion. Even those resistant to stimulants are amazed at the potency of the product."
Users often report good clean energy boosts, great focus, lack of appetite, warm sensation, and no crash.
I hope this better explains our Liqui-Tab/2 Stage Delivery System used in Amphetalean. If you haven’t tried Amphetalean yet, what are you waiting for? Get yourself a sample!!!!
Just PM me or any of the Beast Team Members so we can get you a sample. Please indicate if you would like a 2 Day or 5 Day sample.

Hope you all have a Beastly Halloween!! It is amazing how people get so into Halloween. It was a big day in my house growing up, so to me, it is not much of a day. I will be the candy passing out person in my house, which is cool by me. I get to jump out and scare kids, which is partly why I got into teaching. In between scaring the kids and yelling at my dog for barking, I will watch some scary movies, which I really enjoy.
My wife is taking my 4 year around, which she enjoys as she gets into Halloween. My daughter is going to be a vampire this Halloween, which is cool. I am glad she isn’t going to be a princess. You would never guess I am princessed out!!!
The hard part for me is saying no to 3 things: Reeses Peanut Butter Cups, Butterfingers, and Snickers. I do love those three, especially the first two. When I was young, I used to sneak into my brothers bag and take those and give him the smarties. Especially when he was young enough and would make the trade for them. Being the older brother, I loved to use the brains and brawn over him.
As I told my classes today, I think today may be the most generous day of the year!! We can talk about the Christmas holiday as a giving time of the year but realistically we only give to people we love or have to. At Halloween we give candy to absolute strangers!! We even give it to the obnoxius kids down the street who treat your kid bad or the rude teenagers who smoke and throw their butts near the end of your driveway where your kids play or the jerks kids behind you who jam their stereo system late at night with tons of base as you are trying to get your little ones to sleep so your whole house rattles. They all get candy!! It is a shame we can’t give those damn kids Ex Lax candy bars.
I hope you all have an awesome Halloween, be safe and see you on the boards!!!

Well, so far so good with staying under 200 pounds. I think mainly because I have relied on the basic supplements, which are staples to most. Protein powders, creatine, and a good multivitamin and fish oil. These are my main supplements right now. I have some left over Sesamin I have been taking as well as some left over Atro Phex, which I am about out of.
You can’t go wrong with protein powder as I just can’t seem to get in enough grams of protein throughout the day without my ON Strawberry shakes. Especially, with teaching school and only having 25-30 minutes for lunch. The shake is a god send. Last year, when I was much fatter, I would go into the cafeteria and buy the school lunch and then scarf it down in about 18 minutes. I just feel much better now. It is a definite must have.
I also think that you can’t go wrong with creatine, which has scientific support behind it. My strength feels better as does my overall muscle size and quick burst type of activities (from lifts to sports applications like lax shooting).
Obviously a good multivitamin and fish oil are helpful as well. Right now I still have some of the GNC Mega Men but have been looking at the many different options out there. Fish oil is a staple in my diet, I take about 8-12 grams a day of fish oil, especially with the reduced fat, high protein diet I am on now.
A recent addition that really seems to have become a new possible staple is Beta Alanine. I like that it too is supported by science. It helps with endurance activities as well as high volume types of lifting. I have really seemed to get great results as far as cardio wise as well while I have been lifting in the 12-15 rep range. I decided to try to shock my body after reading the High Reps to Hugeness article and feel the BA helps me while approaching the high rep lifting.
If you happen to read this post, thanks and hope was a bit helpful. Take care and wish you all luck in reaching your goals!! Keep striving and working, remember pain is temporary, Victory is forever!

Well today I decided to check the scale and I got some awesome news, it read 199 pounds. I can not remember the last time that I weighed below 200 pounds. I have been disciplined with eating but also not so militaristic that if I wander a little, I will kill myself.
Big ideas are still high protein intake with low carbs. Since October, I have been taking Lean Extreme, which is a non-stim supplement to help with controlling cortisol. I think it has helped tighten me up.
I am very happy and I think the pictures I have added shoe the improvements. Especially when you see how fat I was in August. Take care and good luck to all!!!

Since been off the V-Diet for 10 days, my weight has stayed same, which I am pleased with. I was really worried I would come off of that diet and gain all the weight back. I haven’t and I am pleased.
I have found that my lifting intensity has increased as has my cardio. I feel as though my body is "more solid" due to the high protein intake and increased lifting, along with the inclusion of creatine. In the long run that should lead to a higher BMR, which is also good.
Not too much else to report. Just wanted to get that out. Sometime the blog is just thinking aloud. Gotta run and kick some ass in the gym.

Just a little observation: since I have been taking the creatine while cutting, I have retained about 2-3 lbs of water. Is it worth it, YES!! The creatine will help me to push through the weights and get stronger. As I get stronger, I should also develop more muscle with the amount of protein I am eating, that means a higher BMR and burning more calories at rest. It still is frustrating when you know scale should say you are two-three less pounds. We are a society of numbers, I need to get over it.
Water Consumption: I know I get enough. I figure I get about 2-2.5 gallons a day. I definitely stay hydrated. Sometimes can be hell when you got to always run to the bathroom, but good for the kidneys.
Carbs: I ate too many yesterday but I survived and am ok!! Lesson learned that one day of too many carbs won’t kill you. It still pissed me off, but not the end of the world.
Thanks for all of you guys out there that support me in my attempts to lose weight!! Your kind words and encouragement mean a lot, you can count on my support right back at you. Have a great rest of the week.
