"Well here we go yet again, hopefully this time it wont be so short lived. A group of us started a bet for our trip to Vegas in January and yours truly is gonna take the prize. Kinda like a Biggest Loser type thing. Gonna "DO WORK" and kick some ASS"

So here we go again. Ita been a long time since I have written anything nd for that I do apologize. This year like man other things has been moving in fast forward. Things with me have been a been like a rollercoaster, ups and downs. The downs have been as you all know start with my divorce. Then I tore the tendons in my right elbow, which coincidently took me off the crew I was to deploy with. After my elbow healed I was at trining in Alpena, Michigan where as fate would have it I jacked both of my wrists up during a week long ATV course for military applications. Now after that took weeks to heal I was back in the gym and all was going great, or so it seemed. As I do every year I went to my doctor for a physical and complete work-up. During his examination he stopped, looked at me and stated "huh, thats odd. Did you know you have a hernia?" To his suprise I stated "No, why???" Well that leads to the fact that I had a decent size hernis on the lower right side. WTF???, are you serious? What the hell else could go wrong? Why is it that once I get all healed from one thig, I get tackled with another? So anyways, the only option I had was to have surgery. So on Monday 12 Nov 2009 at 0900, I went to the hospital and had a right inguinal hernia operation. All iwent well and once again I am recovering. No weights until 09 Nov, but I am goin Monday to start cardio and light ab work. I do hope that this is all the issues I have for a long time. I really have fallen off and have become discouraged. If not fpr my family, friends and those of you here I would probably just throw in the towel and be Blah. So let me thank you all, especially, ladyfirefighter and Fobidden Angel Warrior, you have re kindlked my fire and the fight within…..
So there ya go a quick and brief run down of the life and times of sgttuff. Hope you all have a great weekend and that it is full of fun and relaxation….seee you on the flip

I am currently knee deep into my routine and training with my partner. However I could use some advice and or help. I want to Perform what I call a HELL WEEK routine. This would be for the duration of a week and would as the name states be "HELL". The theory behind this is to shock the shit of the muscles and promote growth and bust through the possible plateau. So if you have any ideas please hit me up, whatever it may be. I can throw down and have lifted until I puke many a times, the more hardcore/intense the better.
Other than that i am pleased with the porogression of my partner, he has surpassed my expectations to say the least. As for my self, Iam feelin like a champ. Size is being added and I am seeing some great changes. To say thayt I am happy with the results thus far would be an extreme understatement. I wanna keep throwin and growin and upon my return from my upcomin deployment, I want to compete. Time will tell but there it is, my ultimate goal

So as I have stated before, I am back at the gym and feelin pretty damn good. I have seen myself change and the weights that I throw have changed as well. I also for the first time in a long time (deployments not included) have a workout partner. Its awesome, I can finally throw heavy and someone there to watch my back and keep me safe. In return I gort his back and have started him in a new direction. My partner is also one of my best friends, and he has takin the challenge to live healthier and to get into shape. He started out on this journey as a 6′0 290lb beast of a man. His eating habits and lifestyle were almost seditary at best. He started his membership the same day I started mine at Summit City Fitness, and has been dedicated and motivated since. We workout 5 days a week and focus on 1 muscle group per day. Recently, we added cardio after he was acclimated to the routine and his body got use to puttin in the work. He has made great strides and has proven to himself that he can do this. The other day as we were getting into our shoulder workout he sated loudly "jeez, I am moving up in weights." This signifies that he is really on his way to a healthy lifestyle. Unlike my troops here at the base, Teddy does not need me to be a "Drill Instructor", instead he asks questions and is always eager to learn more. He has changed so far and I am eager to see how much more he can change. So, Teddy I know you are not here on this site, but I want to say that I am proud of you and hope you continue down this path. No matter what brother, I am here for ya win lose or draw…..besides we got a ball season starting in a few weeks.
Okay, thats all for now with the touchy feely stuff. I posted progress pics the other day and I do realize that they are not the greatest. I am in the proccess of gettin better ones done. I will try to get some pre, during and post workout. Until then, let the baseball season begin and the weights keep movin….

So here Iam about a month into my seperationand life could not be any better. Now I know that sounds bad, but for me it a blessing. Since my seperation from my wife, I have been so much more hsappier than ever beforew. It reflects in my work quality, my workouts and most importantly in my kids eyes. This has been the best decision I have ever made. I filed for the divorce and we have our hearing on June 1. So until then I am living life to the fullest, throwin down in the gym and bein a awesome father. After all if not for my kids, I believe I would still be in my marriage. They were the ones that helped me see the truth that washidden. Its funny that a person can be so blinded in love and not realize it.
Anyways, enough of all that. The gym has been great and I am seeing great reponses from my body. The weights are movin up and my size gains are lookin great as well. I am currentlky taking the stack from Gaspari and must say that it does everything it states….God I love this stack. I’m more focused, dedicated, energized and my pumps are insane. Not to mention that my body looks like a rod map due to the viens poppin out, simply put, this shit is bad ass.
I am still tryin to figure out where I put my camera, still have a ton of stufff packed. As soon as I find it and get some pics they will beput on my page. I am lookinforward to feedback and critism as well. After all without either one, how can we truly know where ewe are at in out training. You all see things different than I, so bring it, but do it properly….
Well I must get back to work and try to grind out this day. Its so damn boring….Oh well, such is life of Security Forces…HOOAH

So if you read my page you now know that I am going through a divorce, well as soon as I complete the paperwork. As of the moment, I am still living with her and will be moving my stuff on Monday. It really sucks knowing that what was once is no more, however, I will survive and be better fo it in the end.
The part that reall sucks is now I got an extra ticket and a kick ass hotel in Columbus for the Arnold. I am still going, but now I gotta replan everything…Oh well, if thats the worst of it, then so be it. I will make do and have as good as a time as I can.
So anyway, have a great weekend and keep throwin them weights. More to come as it develops….See you all at the Arnold, I hope anyways…

So asalwaysIamlacking on the whole "blogging" thing, so I figured I would updatre some stuff. First of all let me say that Ihave been bustin my ass as much as possible in and out of the gym. My training is revolved around a mix of sets and rep schemes. I usually have a couple sets of 5 and then a few sets of 3 per workout. Rep range will also very between high and mid range to get the muscles pumped and always guessing. Now my diet has also been pretty good to awesome. I am keepin my protien high and my carbs low, well that is until dinner at my moms on Thursdays…but what can ya do right…after all you dont wanna make mama mad. cardio has been pretty good as well, although I feel I could probably push myself harder on it. the problem I do have is ABS…Iam so lost when it comes to them. Not sure which way to go or ewven the set/reps needed…Any help would be a plus.
Besides that all else is good for the most part. The wife and me have been trying to get along more and are okay at the time being. That being said, last night was a disaster…Allow me to explain…
First off, my wife and I have had planned to go to this resteraunt called the FlatTop Grill for Valentines Day, since I have never been there. So after I got home from work and got cleaned up we left. Now it takes about a half hour to get there from our house so we listen to music and talk and what not. We get to the placew and the parking lot is jammed packed with all sorts of people and "A" holes… We drive around for oh I dont know another half hour finding a damn parkin space. After we finally get parked we walk up to the resteraunt, now its only about 530 now, as we walk through the door we over heard the hostess say that they were all full until 10. UGH…WTF. So we calm down and go across the lot to a Logans Steakhouse, with the same results, now I’m getting frustrated. So once again we walk across the lot to an O’charlies…..and can you guess it, yup they were no better. After that we decide to give up here and leave. Now my wife offered for us to drive back home and order a Pizza, whish we decided was a wasted trip and time. So after we talked over options we decided to go where our first date was….a Chinese Buffet. Now the healthiest but it was a good time. We sat there ate and people watched the time we were there. Now if you haven’t ever watched people, you gotta…it is wicked fun. After that we went to WalMart and bought Max Payne, then home. We watched the movie and were in bed by 915…Minds out of the gutters people, we actually just went to sleep….boring, but true.
So there you go, I am at work now and hoping tonight to get the steak I was craving last night….Back at the gym tomorrow and will report more when I can. I also will try and post some progress pics, the only computer I have right now is here at work and they banned the use of portable devices…Gotta Big Brother……Have a great week and saty Tuff

So after hitting the gym, being on spot with my diet and cardio, I got a little scared as I woke up this morning. My right shoulder, you know the one that I got repaired last August, hurt like a S.O.B. To be honest it kinda was sore last night, but I attribute that to the workout of the past few days. So anyways, I got up took a hot shower and stretched while the heat of the water rained down on my aching limb. After I got out and dressed, I stretched some more, took some ibuprofen and got my breakfast rolling. Long story short, it seems to be irritated/sore from the gym, not from damage, which let me tell you is a sign of welcome relief. Thats the last thing this guy needs. To much is riding on this, the gym, my ball season, work and last but not least, an upcoming deployment. I will continue to hit the gym hard and will concentrate more on post workout stretching. Other than that, all is good so far….Time will truly tell where I end up, but all signs point in a good direction….

So first off let me update you all on the drama with my car. After two days of shitty weather and turning wrenches she is back on the road. Thank God, because in all reality I did not want to buy a new car. Dont get me wrong, Iwould love a new ride, but with the times being what they are, I’ll make due.
My workouts have been goin good. The weights are going up and my motivation is back with a purpose. I have finally started a workout tracker, so now I will be held more accountable to them. So keep on me if I start to slip. Other than that the weather here sucks ass. Woke up to about 4 inches of snow, the roads were even worse and even now its still snowing. WOO HOO….Gotta love Indiana weather. Even though the roads suck and the weather is nasty, I will be at he gym after shift for another session of arms. Then I will go home and satart to clear off the drive way and sidewalk.
So there you go for now, nothing too exciting. have a great day and an even better week and I will be back later….Steve

Its been a week since my last blog so I thought I would catch back up on it. Satring last friday, I was at the gym after shift and went to town doin legs. They were prety sore over the weekend and that was a welcomed sign. I did not workout on Saturday nd Sunday, I did do cardio though. Monday, I was back at it doing chest got a great workout in and had a really good stretching session ther after. Tuesday, I did bi’s and tri’s. As it was this was a great workout as well, I felt pumped and sore and glad to see the results are starting to show. Yesterday was my shoulders, this was a great sign of a new start. I was so afraid to hit my shoulders hard since my surgery, but I was glad I did. They responded well and I must say the pain for a change was a burn, not a jacked up shoulder pain itself. All was going great, got my cardio in and was feeling jacked. That was until I left the gym. I took off from the gym and went out to my car, started it and had to wait on all the kid passer byers. As they were walking by, I noticed them staring at my car with curiosity. Now, my car is nothing all that amazing, its a 96 Eagle Vision, a real eye catcher right. Anyways, after the last kid passed, I backed up and thats when I saw what had cauight their eyes…..a big puddle of transmission fluid. My car had bled out all over the gyms parking lot. What a way to end my day…WOO HOO. So after debating with myself, I gingerly crept my car home, I only live about a mile from the gym. Now having worked on cars my whole life, I felt thst the risk was well worth it. I was right at the corner of my street, when she finally stopped moving. Luckily for me there was a Huntington Police Officer coming down the road. He stopped, asked if I needed help and then proceeded to push my car with his RAM bumper. How cool, yet embarrassing is that. So to make a long story short, my car is ****ed and I am forced to driving my wifes little vibe….not so cool at all. But what can you do. I will be at the gym tonight after shift and throw down on my back, do some cardio, and then go home for chow. And figure out what to do next….Guess daddy is getting a new car now……

So its been awhile since I have written anything and now is just the right time to fill you all in on things. First and fore most, I started hitting the gym hot and heavy on Monday, well not that heavy…lets put it this way, I have nothing close to the strength I had before. To be honest, at times it is down right frustrating and embarrassing. I knew that it was gonna be hard to get back into the swing of things, but damn. I get the looks and the mean muggin from these kids and all I wanna do is rip thier ever loving heads off….So I am not able yet to throw some weight, so I am stuggling to make my sets, but damnit I’m in there paying my dues just like all the other swinging dicks…sorry….but give me a break, where in the hell do these punks get off muggin people with their smug looks of disgust. These are the same jagoffs that park their asses on the bench and chit chat with the gym flyes, walk around like they own the place and the same ones that think that every chick in the place wants them. Whatever, I’m over it, cause we all know they will get theirs in the long run. My outlook and attitude have at times gotten the best of me. For instance, Tuesday I took my wife to the hospital for a scheduled CAT scan. No big deal right, wrong. We got into this huge as fight on the way there and then she told me she would find another ride home. Fine, you win, I left and that was the start of the inevitable. I pull into a gas station down from my house, this is where the fit hit the shan. As I am checking out I over hear this kid talking loudly. I was cool until he told the cashier that her son would love the Air Force cause it is full of blacks(not the word he said). This is where I blew up and went the hell off…..not my proudest moment. We exchanged words and insults and what not before the store workers decided enough was enough. They threated with the COPS and I decided to back down and go home without any charges. What the hell is wrong with people, why must we hate still. I mean does it matter what color a person is really, are they any less human…..I gotta stop and change gears I am getting bent again…
So anyways, training is going slow and at times hard. I have forgotten how sore you feel after really hitting it. My chest, my arms, my back are just barking. But it feels so good to be back. My goals will be met and I will achieve the body I want. All it takes is time, hard work and dedication. My diet too is going good, started eating better and better, and in turn I am feeling better. The weight will come off and then in time it’ll go back up, but with less fat and more muscle. I am focused on the prize and the start of another ball season. I am gonna come in bigger, faster, and stronger than before. Then as the summer gets going, I’ll get going, back across the pond for yet another tour of duty. So as you see, I got alot going on and alot on my mind. Life changes just like the weather and so must I change to keep pace with its demands.
Well thats it for now, kinda rambling, kinda all over the place, but at least it gives some insight to what up in my world. Stay strong, stay dediccated and stay TUFF…
