"Well here we go yet again, hopefully this time it wont be so short lived. A group of us started a bet for our trip to Vegas in January and yours truly is gonna take the prize. Kinda like a Biggest Loser type thing. Gonna "DO WORK" and kick some ASS"

Hell Week Help

Saturday, April 11th, 2009

I am currently knee deep into my routine and training with my partner. However I could use some advice and or help. I want to Perform what I call a HELL WEEK routine. This would be for the duration of a week and would as the name states be "HELL". The theory behind this is to shock the shit of the muscles and promote growth and bust through the possible plateau. So if you have any ideas please hit me up, whatever it may be. I can throw down and have lifted until I puke many a times, the more hardcore/intense the better.

Other than that i am pleased with the porogression of my partner, he has surpassed my expectations to say the least. As for my self, Iam feelin like a champ. Size is being added and I am seeing some great changes. To say thayt I am happy with the results thus far would be an extreme understatement. I wanna keep throwin and growin and upon my return from my upcomin deployment, I want to compete. Time will tell but there it is, my ultimate goal

Puttin in the Work

Saturday, April 4th, 2009

So as I have stated before, I am back at the gym and feelin pretty damn good. I have seen myself change and the weights that I throw have changed as well. I also for the first time in a long time (deployments not included) have a workout partner. Its awesome, I can finally throw heavy and someone there to watch my back and keep me safe. In return I gort his back and have started him in a new direction. My partner is also one of my best friends, and he has takin the challenge to live healthier and to get into shape. He started out on this journey as a 6′0 290lb beast of a man. His eating habits and lifestyle were almost seditary at best. He started his membership the same day I started mine at Summit City Fitness, and has been dedicated and motivated since. We workout 5 days a week and focus on 1 muscle group per day. Recently, we added cardio after he was acclimated to the routine and his body got use to puttin in the work. He has made great strides and has proven to himself that he can do this. The other day as we were getting into our shoulder workout he sated loudly "jeez, I am moving up in weights." This signifies that he is really on his way to a healthy lifestyle. Unlike my troops here at the base, Teddy does not need me to be a "Drill Instructor", instead he asks questions and is always eager to learn more. He has changed so far and I am eager to see how much more he can change. So, Teddy I know you are not here on this site, but I want to say that I am proud of you and hope you continue down this path. No matter what brother, I am here for ya win lose or draw…..besides we got a ball season starting in a few weeks.

Okay, thats all for now with the touchy feely stuff. I posted progress pics the other day and I do realize that they are not the greatest. I am in the proccess of gettin better ones done. I will try to get some pre, during and post workout. Until then, let the baseball season begin and the weights keep movin….
