Best Christmas ever!!!!!

Well guys i just got back in italy and i will have to say it was the best christmas i have ever had!!!!!!!!! I was with my son for the first time on his birthday and christmas!!!!!!!!!!!! i got to give him his first bike and tried to teach him to ride it BUT…….the darn thing was put together retarded and it wouldnt peddle, but the look on his face when i brought the bike into the living room was worth the 4000 mile trip!!!! Thank you all of you who supported me and who still do support me!!! this was the best christmas of my life!! I love you Dominic, daddy is coming home again in 10 months! i love you so much!!!! :) :):):):):):)

 My little boy is 4 now :) :):):):)

The reason im starting this blog is because tonight i get to see my son for the first time in 14 months. The last time i saw my son was Oct 30th 2007. He is 4 years old and i have not once been home to spend the holidays with him. Not once have i been home for thanksgiving, christmas, new years, birthdays………..Navy life is hard. In the end its worth it because those who love you will stand by your side through all the sacrifices you make to make this world and safer place to live. Not many people know or understand how hard it actually is serving your country. For all of you who are deployed, for all who are not home to be with your families for these holidays……this goes out to you!!!! Coming from a man who has been there and is there……stay strong, your strength is what makes this world better stronger….

 

Im seeing my son tonight at 11 pm……….and the tears are already coming down………..I love you dominic!!!! Happy 4th birthday, daddy is coming!!!!

My Take on Supplements..

OK, ive been getting alot of questions about supplements. Here is my take on them, But first i would like to say that YES ive tried them. When i was in Iraq in 2004 and 2005 i took Nitro-Tech, Cell-Tech by MuscleTech. I LOVED IT, i went from 187 to 211 in 4 months solid muscle………BUT BUT BUT BUT, when i returned home, i stopped working out for about 1 month. I started working out again but with no supps. I LOST it all just as fast as i gained and basically started over! MY BELIEF on supps is if your new starting working out or are still growing, dont take them, BUild your base  build first, once your at a stand still with natural building, try something. Right now im still not where i wanna be naturally, im still growing so im letting my body grow before i take supps. I take NO right now yes, as a pre workout supp so i cn get some motivation in the gym. NOW this is MY take on them, i have no facts to back this up but its my take on them and my opinion, so take it as you will :)

I have been asked time and time again about my ab routine. So i figured i would create a video guide to create the abs of a lifetime. Its been taking time for me to do so to create all the videos…..so here they are i will add more in my personal videos so watch out for them. here it is..

This is NOT my ab routine, i switch mine up every week!! i never do the same routine twice. But here is a list of my favs and i will tell you my dislikes…

DISLIKES: crunches: the basic crunch is one of my dislikes because there are better variations of this to work the same muscles. Floor leg lfits: Regular leg lifts limit your range of motion, do them on the bench so you can lower your legs further than parrallel.

Ive been getting alot of requests and comments about my diet plan, im going to post this. This is a basic day for me, i DO NOT eat the same thing everyday, this is an example…..

 0600 - 3 egg white omlet with tomatoes, 4 hard boiled eggs, 1/2 grapefruit, 1 banana

0800 - fiber one bar, with green apple

1100- Chicken breast grilled, green beans(corn, or peas), carrotts, mashed or baked potatoe.

1300 - fiber one bar, orange

1500 - whole wheat bagel w/organic creamy peanut buttter and sugar free grape jelly

1700 - WORKOUT!!!!!!!!!!!! 

1900 - chicken breast grilled w/peas and one banana

2100 - bowl of Banana nut crunch cereal w/Skim milk….ya cereal before bed hahah

 I Only drink water and NOTHING else

First Triathalon!!!!

Well this morning i woke up at 0645, drank my No Xplode, and went to the starting line……….I did my first triathalon!!!! It was a little different than what i thought. We swam 500 Meter, Cycled 20 miles, then ran 3.3 miles(5K)…i finished in 1 hour and 22 mins and 20 seconds :) :) WOW that hurt and NEVER AGAIN!! hahahhahahahaa

The point of a picture, of a pose! whats the point???? when you do a pose or a picture and capture that one still image of yourself, whatever your doing in that brief moment shoes who you are! The posing you do describes alot about yourself and alot about what type of personality you have, one single brief moment in time when that camera snaps a picture, can tell you alot about someone!

Well its day number 9 of no working out and i woke this morning, did some pulls ups……….NO PAIN…..tried a pushup…..NO PAIN!! im back and im about to hit the gym harder than ever, i cannot make up the past 9 days but im going to try and pace myself so this never happens again. Stretching is my new best friend!!

this blows the big one!!! its day 2 of me not working out and i dont like it at all, i sat in my room and watched Hitman, and Superman Returns on Blu ray and i was thinkng to myself GOD what would i do without the gym??? this??? sit on my ass??? wow this blows. so i got down and did leg lifts and you know what, my arm started to hurt!! i wasnt even moving it, but the blood flow, when it increases i get this throbbing in my arm!! i wanna just cut it off!!! anyone want it? want my arm? sorry for just babbling but this is really geting to me, going to the gym and not being able to workout is like a crackhead going to the the drug house and watch everyone shoot up and he has no money, its like being a smoker who just recently quit and going to the smoke pit and the craving comes back!!! wow im comparing working out to crack hhahahahahh, if you think about it, it is, its addicting, its very addicting!! but its  better hahahhaha anyway thanks for stopping by!

So i was in the gym the other day doing Chest, and i kept feeling a sharp pain in my arm. I continued to workout of coarse just thinking i could push through it, but then it started shocking my entire arm. So i went to the PT at my gym and she told me lift my arm…i couldnt!!!! my arm was shaking and she told me that its called ATROPHY…where the tendon connecting your chest to your elbow is strained..so yeah. No gym for me for a while. Do you know how hard it is to NOT workout? do you know how much it sucks when you go to the gym, or to the football field, or anywhere and its like the weights are teasing you? god it sucks!! When the doctors told me to stay away from physical activity for 14 days, wanna know what i said?? YEAH RIGHT DOC!!!!!!!!!!! impossible!! so now im at home hahahahhahha

Another Chest day!

Well im off to the gym , i just took my no explode and im ready for this day! Its always the long awaited monday chest workout! i cant wait. Today i got flat bench with 5 sets. Starting out with 225 for 15, 265 for 12, 275 for 10 and going for 315 for 8 then back down to 225 for 15. so we will see how this goes! Anyone else get all excited before there favorite day, or is it just me? haha, i love it and i feel like im even speeding on my way to the gym haha. Hey guys, well i have gotten to a point in the gym where im basically mainting where i am and just gradually gaining, i dont want to get any bigger but i would like to see more definition. So i found myself in the gym sitting around alot more, and talking alot more, coaching young up and comers and giving advice and tips more and more rather than training myself……so i figured id go out and try a pick me up. SO i asked around to my buddies and they recommended BSN’s No Explode…….WOW were they right!! i am saying this once and i will never go against this so you can qoute me on this. I will NEVER workout without this stuff again!!! i love it!!!! i workout nonstop for 1 and a half hours and feels great. The next day i am in sooo much pain. I love this stuff and would recommend it to EVERYONE. whether its running, walking, mountain climbing, working out, playing a sport……TAKE IT!!!!

Fitness….Hobby or lifestyle??

Which one is it to you? do you lift as a hobby, run as a hobby? do you just exercise to waste time….as a hobby?? or is it a lifestyle to you? Do you live it everyday, 24/7? Fitness is a lifestyle whether you think of it as that or not. You must live your everyday life with fitness on your mind. Every meal you eat you must think of the fats, the carbs, the sugars….every drink you drink you must think of the high fructose corn syrup, the calories, the sugars……and every where you go you have lifting on your mind. You do grocerie shopping and think of what your doing next in the gym. you park far away from the store so you can walk rather than be lazy and park close. You take the stairs rather than the elevator. You think about the gym all day long. You think about the gym every second. Fitness is a lifestyle! whether you think it is or not. Fitness can not be a hobby if your taking it seriously….now if it is a hobby to you here are some signs that you do not take fitness and bodybuilding seriously. If you smoke….your not serious. If you eat KFC, McDonalds, Wendys……your not serious. If you drink on a regular basis, your not serious…..Some people i know talk about there lack of vascularity, yet they smoke. They whine about there stomach and not being able to see there abs, yet they eat fats and fast food. They whine about there lack of progress in the gym, not getting any bigger, yet they are lazy and eat whatever they want and workout whenever they feel like it, with no routine……..thats a hobby….there not serious! Making Fitness a lifestyle takes time, time to quit eating junk food, time to quit smoking, time to adapt a daily routine…..it takes time….so take the time and accomplish what your goals are!! New Workout plan

Well this past week i started my new workout plan. Here is an example of what i do now. I go in and do a set of pull ups(25reps) and a set of dips(25 reps) everyday. So no matter what i worked the next day i hit them just a little bit more. So i do that then the first exercise i do 5 sets. First set i do 20 reps, second set i do 15 reps, third set i do 8 reps, fourth set i do 12 reps, and the 5th set i do 15 reps….this seems to be working AMAZING for me. To view the progress of this you can see in my progress pics. For my abdominals i train them now for 15 mins a day but on wednesdays i traint them for about 45 mins, just like every other body part…..
