I tore my left pecn 2 months ago. The tear is not very visible. I will try to push on without the surgery. My doctor believes that the tear will not ruin my symetry. God I hope she is right. The tear was so bad that I could not even do a push up. That is humbling. I am taking it slow. I want to compete again, but I must take it slow.

I competed in Detroit 2 weeks ago. I won my weight class. I am very happy. I want to put on some weight now. I made only one mistake preparing for this show I lost a bit of fullness. I am not a big guy of course but I know I flattened out a bit. Next show I am going to have to adjust my carb intake or eat a couple more carbs.

I have started dieting for a show. I am doing the NGA pro-qualifier in Detroit, MI 8-16-08. I am excited to step on stage again. I had back surgery in April. It was not too serious but it did put me down for a little bit. I am committed to coming back.

I am at the 2007 Olympia weekend. What a production. I have met some pretty cool pros this weekend. I met Flex Wheeler, Darrem Charles, Melvin Anthony and Adela Garcia just to name a few. I was impressed with each and everyone of them. They were very personable and approachable. If you can go to an Olympia one day you should. Save your money and treat yourself. It is truly an experience.

It has been awhile since my last post. I will try to do bettter. Since the last 2 1/2 weeks I have really been doing lots of cardio. I am eating even cleaner. I have lost another 4 pounds or so. I am trying to lean up a bit. I am trying to get that unwanted fat off me that I gained when I injured my knee back in May. The journey is getting easier. I think in another 4-5 weeks I will be at my goal. I think I will look good around 175 or 180. I am not going to concentrate to hard on what the scale says I want to build muscle and lose fat. My martial arts training is going well. On Friday I will sparr for the first time. I can’t wait. My fight timing is off a bit, the only way to get it back is to throw some blows! Hoorah!!

Since my layoff I have learned that I have a lot of work ahead of me. I need to drop my bodyfat more. I am not over weight I just need to slice it up a bit. I was really ticked off today when I got my body fat tested. I have given myself a tough time table to get in the shape of my life.

This week of lifting and cardio went very well. I did most of my cardio in between of sets. That was so hard. I did hard cardio for 2-3 minutes and then back to the weights. I am dropping body fat it seems like my abs are sharpening up. I averaged about 10-12 cardio intervals. This coming week I will do 30 minutes of cardio 5 times. I will do 2 sessions on Thursday to speed up my metabolism.

This week was a hard week. I had an out of town meeting. I was not able to workout with weights. I did a ton of push ups and ab work. I was able to start squatting later in the week. Wow my knee did not hurt one bit. I can’t wait for another 2 months or so. Everything is going well. I started ripped fuel 5x. It is a pretty straight product. I like the 2 pills a day. I hate having to take a ton of pills.
