That’s all I have to say. This girl was weak and I put her in her place! There was no mercy and it was awesome!
Boxing is such an awesome sport!

Well, I am scheduled to fight on Saturday night. My opponent is 190lbs and I am 196-200lbs, depending at what time I weigh myself. I am so pumped!
Last night at boxing, we sparred. I love sparring. To me, it’s the ultimate high! I was sparring with a guy, and I kept backing him onto the ropes, and he wouldn’t really hit me back. That’s what I hate about sparring with men. They don’t want to hit me at first, but after a couple of hooks to the head, he finall started hitting back. I also worked with one of the younger boxers (he is 13) and it was fun. He is shorter than me, so he just hit my body, but I kept smacking him in the head. I felt bad, since I have about 75 lbs on him, but he has to learn sometime )
I haven’t been lifting, but Monday, after my fights, I’m going to go back to AM lifting. I wanted to lift this week, but I needed to focus on my boxing skills this week. After this weekend, the next fight I will have is the last week of September, in Oxnard, California for the PAL boxing. (PAL=Police Athletic Leauge) IT is a USA Boxing sactioned event, so I will finally get ranked nationally!
My biceps are getting bigger. I’m sure it’s from all of the boxing ) I feel great, even though I’m still heavy! The lbs will come off soon! Good lucj to all in their boxing endeavors!!! )

I am down from 203lbs on Friday morning to 196lbs at boxing practice last night. I was kind of shocked to see that much weight drop off so soon, but I attribute that to stress, eating less, and working out a lot more than I was before. I don’t want to lose too fast so I don’t have tons of loose skin! I’ve been working out hard, but eating has been difficult since my husband is going through one of his "i’m not eating carbs" phases, so I can’t enjoy brown rice or whole wheat noodles without his making comments….errr!
My stress is coming from the fact that I just found out my husband is deploying for the 3rd time to Iraq. Oh joy. Like twice wasn’t enough. I’m so grateful that when I was a Marine, I didn’t have to deploy. Knee surgery kept me from going (even though I would have gone if I had to…it would have been an experience) and I sometimes wish my husband didn’t have to go. The first two times he went was at the start of the US invasion of Iraq, when things were much worse than they are now. It is by no means luxorious now, but it shouldn’t be constant bloodshed and bullets like before. Just pray for his safety and my sanity!!!
The good things that will come out of this will be that we will able to pay our SUV off and I will have the time to focus on myself and my body. Last time he was deployed, I got into really good shape, and I’m planning to keep doind what I’m doind, but more. This time, I know what not to do when he comes back so both of us don’t gain. He went from 168 (which is small for his large frame) to 185 and my weight loss halted at 164 and I went up to 171lbs. (wow, what I would do to be back at 171!)
I hope everyone is doing well in their goals. Keep training hard!
On a side note, this weekend, I was able to make my husband tap out in a wrestling/grappling match in the living room…it was sweet! )

I’ve been working my ass off in the boxing gym and I’ve been working on my cardio a lot. It really motivates me to workout harder knowing that I’m making progress!!!
I hope everyone has a good weekend! )

SO I found out the other day that there is a girl that I can fight next week. She is 201lbs and fairly new to the sport, so it should be a lot of fun!! I am so happy and just wanted to share that with everyone else!!!! This will be my first fight in the heavyweight weightclass (I usually fight in light heavyweight) so this should be interesting!!!

Boxing training has been going great, even though I’m so freaking sore!!! I love it so much…I don’t know what else to say about it!
I’ve been working on the running, and it’s going slow, but it’s going. I ran an 11 min mile the other night (which is S-L-O-W!!!!) but it felt good. I think the best part was the fact that I didn’t have shin or knee pain the next day!! Yey! I was able to run the next night too!!!
Lifting has taken a temporary break as I am working up to lifting and boxing. Next week, I plan to do boxing in the PM and go to the gym at least 4 times during the week to lift and do some cardio. I lost a lot of weight doing two-a-days last time, so hopefully that will help.
Speaking of weight, I am officially over 200 lbs. I feel like a complete fat ass, even though I know that I’ve increased my muscle, but not that much! I started a new log book where I am going to weigh myself every two weeks and take measurements to track my progress. I ususally lose inched before I do lbs, so we will see. I wasn’t too happy with my measurements, and it’s not the largest I’ve been. When I was 180lbs (a fat 180) I had larger meassurements in the abdomen and hips than I do now at 206….go figure…I would like to loose the poouch thing that a lot of women seem to have!
Nutrition has been great. I am in love with those coccavia bars (they’re called something like that) They are dark chocolate with blueberries and almonds and they are only 100 calories each. Those are my daily treats and it satisfies that chocolate craving. The last couple times we’ve gone out, I haven’t ordered french fries or anything really bad. Overall, the diet is awesome. I’m actually looking forward to stepping on the scale on the 15th!

That is all for now! If you have read this far, thanks! I always need the support!
