Yepper doodle!

I was getting disappointed in my body a few days ago.  I cut back on my calories so that I am getting around 1500.  Cut all carbs out basically after 4pm except for veggies.  I am switching my lifting routines often.  I even did running intervals at the gym this morning (they were actually fun).  

A few days ago I came across oceanblue149’s profile.  I saw her progress pic since the beginning of the year.  I think she takes progress pics weekly and she has had great progress!  It helped me to see how dicking your time away does not get you results.  That’s why my new goal is to do as well as she has.  

My main focus is my diet and cardio.  I have never really had issues with lifting.  I know how my cookie binges are setting me up for failure.  If I have a treat I need to keep them small or just have an extra clean meal.  

I need to take progress pics more often- at least  every 2 weeks, if not weekly.

I am going on vacation in two weeks to DIsney World with my family.  It will be tough to eat clean but I am going to plan my attack before I get down there.  In the past I have not done so well at working out while on vacation.  However, we are staying at a place where I will be able to run.  I plan on taking some dumbbells with me as well as an exercise band.  There are also numerous body weight exercises I can do.  I figure I can also do plyos!

Same old, same old

I am tired of doing the same old shit.  I feel like a huge fat ass due to the amount of shit I ate over the weekend.  SO I Am starting something new, yet old.

To shed all my baby weight a few years ago I ate a certain way and exercised a certain way.  To shed my 10 pounds gained in the past year, I am going to revert back to this plan but change it a little.  I plan to eat 6 times a day- 4 complex carbs, 2 fruits, at least 6 servings of veggies a day, and cutting all carbs (except veggies) after 4.  Unlike before I am going to eat more before my 6 a.m. workout.  

I will continue to use SciVation Xtend during the workouts.  I am going to switch my workouts weekly because monotony sucks!  

How ****ing hard could it be to lose 10 damn pounds?  Well, you would think it would be the most difficult thing on earth because I am still trying to do it.  I wish I had tunnel vision and no taste buds :S.

Last week my 5-year-old son’s school did vision screening.  My son told the nurses 5 times that he could not see in the testing thingy. Needless to say I took him two days ago to see if he really can not see.

It’s true. :)

Quite frankly he’s lucky that he doesn’t need a seeing-eye dog…my husband can’t see, I can’t, my parents can’t, husband’s parents can’t, my brother can’t, his sister can’t.  

Right now he only has to wear them during school to help him see the board.

The first pair of glasses he tried he looked at himself in the mirror an said,"I look GOOOOOOOD!"  

He was right (even if he couldn’t see that well).  He looked so good.

Then, this morning my husband and the same son were leaving for school (and work).  My husband told me that I looked smoking hot.  My son said, "I look smoking too!  I look hhhhhot!!"  Gotta love a smoking hot boy in glasses.

As far as my body goes….
I ate clean for 14 days straight.  Then, I ate a half of a pb and j on (dare I say it) WHITE bread.  Gasp.  As far as cheat meals or snacks go I am really proud of myself that I only ate 1/2 a damn sandwich.  BUT it is also kinda sad that I did not last 28 consecutive days because of half a damn peanut butter and jelly sandwich :( .  Oh, well.

Lifting is going great.  Five days a week- 1. chest  2. back 3. shoulders 4. legs 5. bis/tris.  This week I have been aiming for 45-60 minutes of cardio.  I have even started running again.  :)

I have been eating more than I typically do when trying to lose.  I am trying to see if eating more will actually help me lose quicker and better.  So far it is helping me not break down and eat a bunch of shit.  So far, so good.

What are the odds?

I saw this man at the gym yesterday and did a double take.  He looks like my younger son but a 30-something version of him!!  Now I am 100% sure that this man is NOT my baby daddy.  I did thank it was too damn funny.  

I went to the gym this morning and who was there again?  My son’s look-a-like.  I got my phone and scrolled through pictures to find one of my teeny guy.  I walked up to this man and said, "I know this is going to sound weird but you look like what I picture my son looking like in 30 years!?!?"  I showed him the pic.  He laughed and told me that every time one of his sisters has a baby everybody thinks it looks like him.  He said he once looked like twins with some guy that played football on an opposing team in high school. I asked if cared if I took a picture of him with my phone.  He smiled and told me that he’d better not see it all over the internet!!

One of goals for the week was to weigh 125.  I met that mug this morning.  I have done cardio everyday except for Tuesday BUT I am making up the minutes i missed during my other sessions.  Weight training is going great as well.  I am lifting heavy on all body parts except for my legs (heavier weights **** my knee up).   I have been doing one warm-up set and then 4-5 working sets.  My husband told me that I actually have visible lats :) .  Who knew?

Start of 28 days of eating clean challenge

Today starts my 28 days of eating clean.  I am joining numerous others in the quest to eat clean for a month.  In addition, we must all do cardio a minimum of 3 days a week (30 minutes a session, I think), weights at least 3 times a week, and take before and after pics.  I posted my pics yesterday. :(   Not too good for my self-esteem.  I took them with my phone’s camera so they actually look more flattering than previous pics as far as my body goes.  Lighting sucks, though.  I did a weigh in today..I am up to 128.5.  Damn! I did weigh with my gym clothes on and I usually weigh in the buff.  So it looks like I have got some work to do.  I made a meal plan out for today :) . I have already worked my chest today.  Did db chest press, incline press on the smith machine, and cable flyes- 1 warmup set and then 4 additional sets of 6-10 reps.  I did a 10 minute warm-up on the elliptical and will do 35 more minutes this afternoon.

My short-term goals this week are to do 5 weight lifting days, 6 days cardio, 6-7 meals a day, and lose 3.5 pounds.  The weight loss may seem a bit high but I know most of it is water due to the HIGH amount of carbs I ate.  That will put me at 125 and give me 3 weeks for the rest of the challenge.  Should be doable to then lose another 5 in those 3 weeks.  In the end I hope to be sitting pretty at 120. :)
