New Progress Pics

I posted my pics for the end of the abs challenge yesterday (FYI I took them on Christmas Eve).  I am not seeing much difference from last month to this month. :(   I can FEEL a difference in my butt (yeah I grab hold of these cheeks ever chance I get :) )  I have never had a NICE ass before.  It’s not where I want it to be but it is getting there.  It used to be fairly flat and wide and now there is a little POP there.  My husband says that it looks like somebody else’s which, I guess, is a compliment!?

Like a dumbass, though, I didn’t take my measurements.  I am sure that I lost some inches SOMEWHERE.  I think that I may have gained some in my biceps.  These fellas have been swollen lately.  

I do know for sure that I need to learn how to ****ing smile a little better in these pics.  Perhaps i look rough because I am not used to have my picture taken in my underoos?  I’ll have to work on it. :)

I’ll be taking them again in a few weeks.  This is my second week on SciVation’s plan.  I’ll probably take them after week 4 (maybe week 5 due to my 2 day eating fest at Christmas.

I am sad that our challenge is coming to an end.  I have met a lot of awesome people in this challenge who are very supportive.   I am very grateful to each and everyone of them. :)   I believe that we have decided to start another challenge for the springtime so I am excited about that. :)

We started the challenge almost 10 weeks ago.  The rules were simple to understand but at times hard to follow.  I am proud to write that I only had 3 cheats during the entire challenge- Thanksgiving, my younger son’s birthday, and last week when some damn cookies fell in my mouth (it’s amazing the strength elves have ;) ).  I was able to withstand Halloween, birthday parties, and weekly family gatherings.  This is the longest I have ever been able to do this……yeah me!

I officially started my Scivation plan last Thursday the day after I got it  (however, I am making my start date yesterday because it is easier to keep track of a starting Sunday).  I am allowed one cheat meal each week.  So far I’ve not had my meal but plan to excuse myself from the plan (as far as the eating goes) this Wednesday and Thursday.  I will still workout both days.  

I am following the plan exactly (except I did switch my workout days around) so I am not eating many carbs.  The few that I get come from fruits and veggies.  I actually started eating low carb BEFORE last Thursday just to make sure i would be able to do it.  So far, so good!  My weight is up a little this week….. a pound or so due to every female’s BFF, Flo.  

I have done several of the workouts and already see/feel a difference in this body.  Derek is having me lift heavy except for the legs (I jacked my knee up a few months ago and it still doesn’t feel 100%.  I still lift as heavy as I can though for legville).  

Last week I worked my biceps out using my new plan.  I remember when I would see women curl 15# dbs and feel envious.  Last week I was able to curl 20#.  Last night just for shits and giggles I curled a 25#.  I have been able to do 3 unassisted pull-ups and am shooting for 6 within the next few weeks.  I bench pressed 35# dbs which is 10# heavier than what I had been doing.

I hope to be a brick shit house by the end of 12 weeks so I can FINALLY live up to my name.  I do see a hardbody by spring!

There is a MARRIED man at the gym who talks with me every day that I see him.  Last week or maybe the week before I complimented him on a "haircut".  He seemed confused, saying he has had the same haircut for several years now.   I then realized that I always see him with a hat.  At the time he had taken the hat off so he did look like he had gotten a haircut.  

Anyway, since my compliment to him, he has flirted with me daily.  I didn’t really notice this at first.  But the past few days he has told me how hot I am.   He once said that it was about time a beautiful woman showed up when I went to the "boy’s section".  Now don’t get me wrong I DO love a compliment.  What I DO NOT love is someone mentally ****ing me while talking to me, ESPECIALLY someone that is married.  If you are NOT married and want to mind-shag me on your own time then have at it (FYI: I do like to keep my MILF status).  This man is like Wiley Coyote and I am the roadrunner.  I  feel uncomfortable when someone is basically licking their lips while talking to me.  I would not appreciate it if MY husband told someone how hot they look.  I would love it (and do) when he tells an employee, his mom, my mom, a friend, etc how PRETTY she looks. Hot equals "I’d like to bend this person over and…."  Pretty means pretty.   I would expect a single guy to talk this way but not a married man and especially not to a lady that you know is married.  

This same man has been offering me advice on how I should train.  (For the record my Scivation stuff came so I am following it).  I think I should start giving him advice on how stay married…. Tip #1 Do NOT undress anyone (other than your wife with your eyes) while talking to her…….  He told me today that I should not superset when trying to build muscle, wait 3 minutes between each set, blah blah blah.  I say that he should not educate me on MY muscles while HIS muscle is staring at me.  Point that thing in your wife’s direction!  You do your thing and I’ll do mine.

Pocket Farkle, Anyone?

AHHHHH, I loves me some pocket farkle!   I have only played this game one time (with my cousin’s seven year old son.  For the record I kicked his ass!!).  It’s a game where you roll 5 dice and keep score of how many points each player has based on the numbers you have rolled.  This is the one and only thing I want for Christmas.  It is fun, cheap, and I could play it for hours.  Just thought I’d recommend this game for a present this year.  I am ready to get my farkle on!!

I am still waiting on my team scivation program.  I have looked at some of their online books and decided to try one of them until I got my personal program from Derek.  As far as the abs challenge I am still going strong.  I have switched over to very low carb this week to help me lose something.  I am aiming for 1600 calories, doing a 4 day split weight routine, and cardio 5-6 days a week.  So far, so good….. I was worried about getting rid of the carbs but amazingly I am not even missing them :)

It’s Boogie Day….

Today is my younger son’s second birthday.  My husband started calling him "Boogie Bear" when he was a baby.  Now, (so it doesn’t sound so babyish we call him "The Boog".  

One day at the gym I saw a large buff man with a wife beater.  He had the words "Bamm Bamm" tattooed on his arm.  I saw this and thought, "Oh,SHIT!   My kid could have ‘The Boog’ tattooed on HIS arm on day."  Guess he needs a new nickname.  My husband suggested "Boogie Man" since it sounds…..MANly. Oh, well.

I admire this little Boog for so many reasons.  He is head strong (okay he DOES get that from me).  He knows what he wants and he is a teeny man on a mission when it comes to getting things he wants.  At times this really sucks but I hope in the future it helps him stand up for himself.  He is very good with his hands.  I think he’s gonna tie his shoes any day!  He will take pens apart and it will take me forever to fix them.    He has a very outgoing personality.  He loves strangers and will turn his charm on for anyone he meets.  He talks so well for only being two.  This is awesome because he can tell me what he wants (turns out he wants a "sinosuar" CAKE for his birthday).

I love The Boog and his big brother too.
