The thing I love about rest days is not the fact that I'm resting and know I'm growing, but rather, it's the anticipation of getting back in the gym ! I'm always so amped up on my first day back in the gym and I always have an awesome workout !
WOW... Never thought I'd be hitting that !! Can't wait till I hit the full 3 plates !! :D
I got 3 hours of sleep lastnight and then ran a 10 K mud run over at the Marine base Camp Pendleton in Southern Cali. It was sooo fun running through all the mud and swimming through the lake and climbing all the muddy hills and running up all the longggg steep hills and low crawling through muddy water at the end. But now I'm exhausted !! I'm about to knockout now.. lol Goodnight people !!
I would have to say that from my experiences in trying to change my body through bodybuilding, I have attained the best gains when I eat lots of whole clean foods. Lots of chicken, rice or beans, and lots of veggies. And almonds for my fat. It wasn't a new workout, or some new supplement that the company says everyone must have for "massive gains". It has always been sticking to a clean whole food diet high in protein, with good complex low glycemic carbs and healthy fats.  That's been my experience.
Happy Mother's day to all the mothers out there that still find the time to keep fitness a part of there life while raising and caring for they're children.
I just found out from a guy I used to work with at the gym that everyone there would always talk crap about me. I thought we were all cool. I'm still friendly with all them because I still workout there. I guess they would talk crap because I was skinnier than them. Freakin idiots... I was swimming alot everyday because I was trying to improve my swimming technique and so I lost alot of weight because of that. But that was my goal!! As soon as I started trying to put on some muscle, I did so right away. People like that get me so irritated. What a bunch of dusch bags. I was already motivated to continue to build size and I've been doing really good at it, but now hearing this just really motivates me to continue to work harder and harder. I'm not going to be friendly with them anymore. I'm just gonna go in there and do my thing and show them that I'm better than all of them. That I'm more dedicated then them. That I can get more results then them. That I can look better then them. In my oppinion, I feel I already do. The ones that are big in there have freakin guts! They may be big, but they sure don't look good when they take their shirt off. What a bunch of douches. I'm just gonna show them I'm better then they can ever be..... Sorry for letting you all see an angrier side of me today, but it just gets me so upset because I thought they were my friends and cool with me. I'm just going to take that negative energy and turn it into a positive.... So in a way, I should probably thank them.. lol
A lot of people have been asking me how to improve their adonis belt and what types of exercises they should do. So I figured I'd write a blog on what I did and currently do to improve my "V". The right side of my "V" was non existent until I really started focusing on it. This is what I did and currently do.
I always start my ab routine with some form of leg raises. I use the priority method and start with them first so I'll be strongest in doing my exercises for the "V". I always keep the reps in the 8 - 12 rep range. I go heavy because I want to increase the size of that muscle. I started out doing leg raises on the floor with a weight in between my feet. As I got stronger, I would increase the weight. I always do four sets. I eventually progressed into hanging leg raises and that's what I do now. I raise my legs straight into the air until they are pointing to the roof and slowly lower them. I'm not to the point of adding any extra weight yet, but hopefully soon. Probably during my next bulk cycle. Sometimes I'll throw in the leg raises where your partner (if you have one) pushes down on your legs everytime you reach the top position and you must resist the push on the way down...those burn like crazy! They are pretty much negatives for your adonis belt. I also switch it up occasionally and add different intensity building techniques to the exercises like drop sets, super sets, and some other techniques out there. Now, leg raises primarily work your hip muscles, but I personally, feel it right in the "V" and I have noticed a big difference in my own "V" after ephasizing the exercises I just wrote about. The time it took to write this will be worth it if this helps even one person out there. Feel free to post any techniques or exercises that have helped you out also. I love to learn new ways of doing things.
I know that most girls out there love the famous "V" on a guy or as we know, a well defined adonis belt. I just have to throw this out there, but a "V" on a girl looks so freakin sexxy too!! I think that's so hot when a chick has a nice "V" on her!! Just felt I'd throw that out there. lol :D
So yeah, I'm excited right now because my cut cycle is working out just perfect. My abs are coming in alot better now and my arms are sill the exact same size. They haven't lost anything. They are even more defined now. Also, I haven't lost any strength. I'm noticing new bumps on my lower abs that I've never seen before. Look out XNickEdgeX, here I come.....hahaha JK I don't have the genetics for those type of abs.....
Be thankful that you don’t already have everything you desire, If you did, what would there be to look forward to?
Be thankful when you don’t know something For it gives you the opportunity to learn.
Be thankful for the difficult times. During those times you grow.
Be thankful for your limitations Because they give you opportunities for improvement.
Be thankful for each new challenge Because it will build your strength and character.
Be thankful for your mistakes They will teach you valuable lessons.
Be thankful when you’re tired and weary Because it means you’ve made a difference.
It is easy to be thankful for the good things. A life of rich fulfillment comes to those who are also thankful for the setbacks. GRATITUDE can turn a negative into a positive. Find a way to be thankful for your troubles and they can become your blessings.

So for the first time ever, I finally decided to do the low carbs during the week and high carbs on the weekend diet. I keep my carbs around 200 grams a day, give or take a little. High protein, anywhere from 300 to 400 grams everyday. And medium fat. All good fats of course. I eat a pound of chicken and a pound of red meat everyday. I'm doing two sessions of cardio everyday for 45 minutes each. One in the morning 15 min after I take in around 30 grams of protein isolate. And the other later on in the night on an empty stomach. I keep my cardio at a slow, slow pace on a cheap $20 stepper I bought at Wal-Mart. lol I have lots of energy during my weight sessions in the beginning of the week, but my energy levels drop a little by thurs or fri due to my low carb intake. I rest and recharge on the weekends. I'm very pleased with the results so far. =)
