marathon finisher
Monday, May 21st, 2007I finished the half marathon in 2.54 hours. If my leg wasn’t hurting, I could have lasted a little longer. Such is life. I loved the whole experience and I know that I’ll train much better. I know that I’ll need to be careful where I run because of sloping roads. I know that I can’t get intimidated by the weather.
Anyway, I’ve started lifting again and working out. I stopped for about a week after till my knee absolutely stopped hurting me (a strained ITB) and now I’m back to walking to work with no problems. Over the weekend I did a back and biceps workout. I read somewhere that if you want to lose weight, you should do full body circuit training but I really do prefer the bodypart method. I noticed that my back lost a little strength over the month that I wasn’t working out. A little makes a lot of difference when you are helping elderly residents into bed or trying to stop them from falling.
