morning cardio again/return to my homegym roots

Mar 19-

Tae bo bootcamp abs…did the first half before work and finished the floor work when I got home. I did about five minutes of rebounding. My husband invited me to watch an episode of Cranky Geeks featuring Kevin and Alex from DiggNation. Yeah I’m a digger can’t lie about that. I’m ordering some used exercise DVDs from ebay. My husband just did my taxes and I’m getting back almost a thousand dollars. Woo hoo! $150 goes into my savings account and the rest goes TO ME ME ME ME ME…buying an olympic power rack bench set,etc. and paying off one credit card so everything gets covered :-)

Mar 20-

Got up and did thirty minutes of tae bo advanced workout #2 and some pushups/crunches…I basically have no groceries and must go shopping tonight. Right now, I’m enjoying a cup of organic coffee and some cereal and one of my SILs homemade blueberry muffins, small one. My husband and I are supposed to go on the road which concerns me. I have some apples that I unfroze from the freezer. Sheetz sells fruits. Hopefully the fruits will be ripe.Thankfully I get paid this week so I can buy some groceries. When I get back from my husband’s road trip, I’m going to the gym. I need a sauna.

I did three miles on the treadmill. I bought a lot of fruits and vegetables at the store because the grocery levels were critically low. Can’t wait till this weekend. I get to unearth the total gym from the snow outside. I should have put it inside but oh well I didn’t. I’m using part of my tax refund to buy a power rack at Walmart. It seems of a reasonable quality. The only thing I’m going to splurge on is a Needak rebounder. I wasn’t sure if I was going to get into rebounding so I bought a cheapo one from Walmart. I think most exercise equipment isn’t designed to be used for long. Maybe the manufacturer hopes the person will use the rebounder as a clothes pile :-) Anyway, I like to do rebounding and so there will be a Needak rebounder in the future.

My hair is wet. I am committed to washing my hair once a week and taking good care of my appearance. I was on the road with my husband today. We stopped at McDonald’s and I just watched this lady get out of a minivan with her kids, not all that good looking wearing stretch waist jeans and the bellyfat hanging over. Yuck. I don’t mean yuck towards the person because I don’t know her. I hate being judgmental but that’s not the direction I want to go in personally. Maybe it’s because I really am not a fan of McDonald’s and just see that lady as representation of the whole lifestyle of McDonald’s I can’t stand. Shame on me for looking down on someone. I hope I don’t offend anyone. When I was looking my very worst, I’m sure people said things I about me. I wouldn’t blame them either.

journal entry catch up

Tuesday, March 6th, 2007

March 4-

I’m exhausted. Tonight I told my husband stay upstairs as I need to catch up on sleep from working the overnight shift day ago. I’ve been doing well except for the two days I didn’t work out and today because the gym opens after my shift starts. Tomorrow I’ll be back on the exercise track as I feel weird and depressed if I don’t workout for more than a week. My BP was 80/50 and then 100/70 and my pulse is decreasing even at the height of my work responsibilities around 90 bpm. It used to be 115. I consistently am running 15 minute miles. I will need to whittle that down to 13 to finish within the required time of the LI Marathon. Another update is that I’ve added regular steaming to my daily regimen of health. I dry brush my skin and sit in a personal steam sauna for thirty minutes. In fact I have it warming up now with some swiss kriss herbs.

Yesterday!

It’s irritating how eating much less and not going to the gym can make someone GAIN weight. I was a little disappointed to have a gain of three pounds but I’m sure it’s not fat. No one can gain three pounds of fat in a week.

I’m not worried. I’ll see what I weigh next week. I return to the gym tomorrow even though I don’t really have a lot of healthy food to eat left in the place. I have some grapefruits and that’s about it. Today I didn’t eat too well and that sucks. I’m taking a mild colon cleanse tea to get things moving and back on track.
