I leafed through some of the fat loss articles on bodybuilding.com last night. I’m going to reread a lot of them today because I got a good night’s sleep (thanks to a lil bit o’ melatonin). I woke up extremely energised considering I woke in the middle of the night extremely thirsty with a dry throat. You see I work in a nursing home with very poor air quality and also well…when I flush toilets ‘particulate matter’ goes up in the air. I use a wein mini air purifier I hang around my neck to purify my air. It really works and when I don’t have it, I get a little run down feeling for a few hours. Anyway, I thought I’d have a poor night’s sleep but I guess not. Batteries came to today too so I’m good. I’m very moti vated to not get sick because it interferes with my workouts and also my ability to work overtime!
yesterday’s diet:
tuesday-
low quality wheatbread
banana
peanut butter
green salad
avocado
earl grey tea
coffee
peanut butter
vegetable soup
small salad bowl
two packs of graham crackers
small coffee
1/2 pb sandwich
My biggest victory was NOT eating when I got home. I didn’t eat anything or even have hot tea. Maybe that’s why I woke up so refreshed. I did my rebounding for 20 minutes. I think the more consistent I am, the longer I’ll be able to workout first thing in the morning.
Also, I met up with a resident’s husband who raises chickens as a hobby. So now I have a reliable source of healthy, cheap protein. Cheap because he’s giving me the eggs for…FREE. No antibiotics, vegetarian grain fed chickens…I do not eat meat but I do use milk in my coffee and I eat a small amount of cheese. My budget is tightening a bit so I do not know if I will be able to afford hemp protein powder. Life isn’t perfect. Today I’ll eat two shrimp and that’s the most ‘meat’ I’ve had in about a year. I know that Jack Lalanne is a moderate vegetarian, eating fish occasionally and most everything else is steamed or raw.
Can’t thank the bodybuilding.com people for bodyspace.com! Oh yeah…later I’m going to do a combo of jump roping, rebounding and mountainclimbers to keep up with my marathon training. It’s cold outside and snow on the ground. It’s not safe to run on iced over snow. I am probably going to join a gym next week.
