my diet…workplace snack monster

I became acutely aware of how much I snack at work. I’m sure that’s why I’ve not lost weight and am in this plateau. FWIW, I can see why most of the staff are fat. There are so many snacks to pick at.

My afternoon:

coffee and peanut butter cookie

huge green salad w/sunflower sprouts, tomatoes,etc.

cup of tea w/two sugars

package of fig newtons

package of graham crackers (two of these)

two slices of cheese

small coffee

At home: cup of tea, a banana  and a tablespoon of peanut butter

I  am actually embarassed I ate this way today. I need to put more effort into planning my meals, other than making some salad to take to work. Ewwww what a sloppy eating pattern *LOL*  Tomorrow it’s snack out day and a trip to the grocery store to buy apples,etc. That and just knowing that every time I snack, I’m moving away from my goals. Plus, nursing home food is death food and no one should eat that stuff of their own free will :D

morning cardio…I’m a convert

I was motivated by all the other bodyspace members who wake up at 5 am to work out. I see one thing in common with the most tight and well defined ladies of bodyspace too. They all do their cardio in the morning, at least one session anyway. Today I did twenty minutes on my rebounder. I felt great afterwards and took a quick shower to wash off the perspiration.

breakfast:

1 cup of coffee with low fat milk no sugar

1.5 bananas

1 cup of cereal Kashi brand

dietary supplements

I am going to do my back/bicep workout before I go to work. I got up nice and early so I had enough time to get one workout in, decluttering and then lift later. I made the decision to join a gym even though it will be stretching our budget a bit. $70 a month for a family membership is a bargain. I’d never get that on Long Island.

I worked my triceps before work today. I had a pretty rough weekend emotionally, one of those where I just didn’t have the will to get up and lift. Today I said I must workout even if I get to work a little late. Well I had a great day at work. Had a huge green salad for dinner and cantaloupe for my late snack. I was eyeballing the cake that someone had brought in for a resident. I had a sliver, one third the square that everyone else was having just because I didn’t want to think about it every time I went into the kitchenette. Deep down inside I know that I will have to give up certain snacks and replace with others if I want the body I want and to get into the area of fitness I want. Joining this bodyspace was the best decision I ever made. I see so many females who have the body I want. Everyone is working out and achieving their goals.
